Dapoxetine is a potent, short-acting, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) medication used in the treatment of premature ejaculation in men.
Dapoxetine’s mode of action is thought to be associated with nerve cell serotonin reuptake inhibition and corresponding serotonin activity stimulatory effects at presynaptic and postsynaptic receptors.
